I run Silly Pineapple Studio to give you a carefully curated, highly personal shopping experience. Because I am just one solo artist, I rely on Shopify to power the digital machinery of this storefront (what the lawyers call the "Services"). This Privacy Policy describes exactly how I collect, use, and handle your personal information when you visit, make a purchase, or chat with me. If there is ever a clash between my Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy regarding your data, this document takes the lead.

By hanging out in the shop and using the site, you are acknowledging that you’ve read this over and understand how your information is handled.

  • From partners: Or other trusted third parties that help keep the studio running.

Think of this like a good local record shop—I use your details to make sure you get exactly what you came for and to keep the place running smoothly.

  • Providing & Tailoring the Experience: I use your info to fulfill your orders, process payments, remember your preferences, handle shipping, and arrange any returns. It also helps me customize the shop, so I can recommend pieces that actually fit your taste.

  • Marketing & Advertising: Occasionally, I might use your details to send a promotional email, a text, or show you online ads based on things you’ve liked or added to your cart in the past.

  • Security & Fraud Prevention: To keep the digital doors locked against bad actors, authenticate accounts, and ensure a safe checkout. (A quick reminder: keep your passwords safe and don't share your login with anyone!)

  • Communicating with You: To answer your WhatsApp messages, provide support, and maintain our connection.

  • Legal Reasons: If required by law, I may have to use your information to respond to legal requests, subpoenas, or to investigate potential violations of my policies.

How I Share Your Information

I only share your details when it is absolutely necessary to run the business. This includes sharing with:

  • Shopify and Service Providers: The vendors who handle IT, payment processing, data analytics, shipping, and cloud storage on my behalf.

  • Marketing Partners: Folks who help me run personalized ads based on your online activity. (Depending on where you live, you might have the right to opt out of these targeted ads).

  • By Your Request: When you explicitly ask me to share information, like logging in through a social media widget.

  • Legal & Corporate Obligations: In the event of a major business transition (like a merger), or if I am legally required to hand over data to comply with search warrants, protect the studio, or defend my rights.

My Relationship with Shopify

Since this whole operation is hosted on Shopify, they automatically collect and process personal info about your visit to keep their engine running and improve their platform. The data you submit here is shared with Shopify and their third-party partners (who might be located outside your home country). I also use some of Shopify's enhanced features, which rely on data from your interactions here and across other Shopify merchants. In these cases, Shopify is responsible for processing that data. Third-Party Websites and Links

If you click a link that takes you away from Silly Pineapple Studio, you are entering someone else's territory. I don't control those external sites, so you should review their privacy policies before getting comfortable. I cannot guarantee the security or accuracy of any third-party platforms. Also, if you post information on public social media widgets here, it can be seen by others, so share wisely!

Children's Data

This studio is designed for adults. I don't intentionally collect personal information from children under the age of majority in your area, nor do I knowingly sell or share data of anyone under 16. If you are a parent and realize your child has given me their information, please contact me so I can delete it.

Security and Retention

I do my best to keep things secure, but no digital system is 100% bulletproof. Please don't send me highly sensitive information (like full credit card numbers) through unsecure channels like a plain email or WhatsApp text. I hold onto your information only as long as I need it to maintain your account, fulfill orders, resolve disputes, or comply with the law.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you generally hold the keys to your own data. You have the right to:

  • Delete: Request that I erase your details from the ledger.

  • Correct: Fix any inaccurate info I have on file.

I will never discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make a request, just contact me. I may need to verify your identity first to make sure I am handing the data to the right person.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how I’m handling your information, please reach out to me directly so we can sort it out. Depending on your region, you also have the right to appeal my decisions or file a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Changes to This Policy

I might update this Privacy Policy from time to time to keep up with new laws or changes in how I run the shop. When I do, I will post the fresh version here and update the date at the top.
